Cancellation Policy

Rental Reservation & Cancellation Policy

Renting items for events or special occasions can be a convenient and cost-effective option. However, it’s essential to understand the reservation policies and cancellation terms before committing to a rental agreement. By familiarizing yourself with these guidelines, you can avoid any unwanted surprises and ensure a smooth rental experience.

Once You Reserve Rentals and Place a Deposit
Once you reserve rentals and place a deposit, all other requests for your items on your dates are turned away to keep our agreement with you. This means that the items you’ve reserved are no longer available to others on the same date. It’s crucial to be certain of your rental needs before placing a deposit to avoid any conflicts or misunderstandings.

Cancellation and Reduction Policies
In the event you must cancel, we must have it in writing by email or fax. All cancellations or requests for reductions must be in writing by fax or email to support@trippyboom.com.

Failure to provide written notice may result in the forfeiture of your deposit, rain or shine leading up to the event. Keep in mind that there is a fee for all cancellations, with the exception of same-day cancellations.

Cancellation Policy

Here is a breakdown of our cancellation and reduction fees as defined in the “Fee Schedule”:

  • 91+ days from delivery = 5% of the order total
  • 31 to 90 days from delivery = 15% of the order total
  • 11 to 30 days from delivery = 30% of the order total or a voucher issued for the total amount paid.
  • 10 or fewer days from delivery = 50% of the order total or a voucher issued for the total amount paid.
  • Additionally, if a customer reduces their order by 50% or more with 30 days or less notice, they will be charged 50% of the order total as a cancellation fee.

It’s important to understand these fees and plan accordingly to avoid any unexpected charges.

Refunds and Vouchers
Any refunds owed to you due to a cancellation will be forwarded via regular mail within 30 days from the date of cancellation. Refunds will be issued in the form of a check to the address on the order unless you provide us with an alternate address.

In some cases, you may be offered a “Voucher” for any cancellations made less than 31 days before the event. This voucher allows you to re-book your event at a later date without penalty.  The “Voucher” is an adjusted invoice for your order showing the amount of credit you have with our office. This credit can be used for a future event and will not expire.

However, “Vouchers” are only issued once and cannot be transferred to a future date if the subsequent event is canceled.

Late Fees and Damages
In the event that legal action is required to recover replacement and/or recovery of any equipment, the customer agrees to pay for any legal fees, fines and court costs including consequential damages incurred.

Understanding the reservation policies and cancellation terms of your rental agreement is crucial to ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. By familiarizing yourself with these guidelines, you can avoid any misunderstandings and plan accordingly for your event. Remember, it’s always better to be prepared than to be caught off guard.
